Fanconi Syndrome
Fanconi syndrome (FS) is a rare disorder that affects the filtering tubes (proximal tubules) of the kidney. It’s named after Swiss pediatrician Guido Fanconi, who described the disorder in the 1930s. Fanconi also first described a rare anemia, Fanconi anemia. This is an entirely different condition unrelated to FS.

Miller Fisher Syndrome
Miller Fisher syndrome is a very rare nerve disease that’s related to Guillain-Barré syndrome. Miller Fisher syndrome is a variant of Guillain-Barré syndrome. It’s rarer than Guillain-Barré syndrome.

Ascher Syndrome
Ascher syndrome is characterised by persistent swelling of the lip and eyelids, and sometimes by nontoxic thyroid enlargement. It was first described in 1920 by Dr. Ascher, an ophthalmologist in Prague. It is also sometimes called blepharochalasis and double lip.
