Directions for use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Malirid-DS Tablet is to be taken with food.
How it works?
Malirid-DS Tablet is an antiparasitic medication that treats malaria. It works by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading.
Side effects
Stop taking primaquine and call your doctor at once if you have:
Fever
Dark colored urine
Pale or yellowed skin
Confusion or weakness.
Common side effects of primaquine may include:
Nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps
Irregular heartbeats

Warnings
You should not use primaquine if you have an autoimmune disorder, such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, or if you also use quinacrine (Atabrine)
