Antiemetic Drugs
Dexamethasone
Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid that prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Dexamethasone is used to treat many different inflammatory conditions such as allergic disorders and skin conditions.
Ondansetron
Ondansetron blocks the actions of chemicals in the body that can trigger nausea and vomiting. Ondansetron is used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused by surgery, cancer chemotherapy, or radiation treatment.
Dolasetron
Dolasetron blocks the actions of chemicals in the body that can trigger nausea and vomiting. Dolasetron oral (taken by mouth) is used to prevent nausea and vomiting that may be caused by medicine to treat cancer (chemotherapy).
Rolapitant
Rolapitant is used together with other medicines to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy.
