Anticoagulant Drugs
Rivaroxaban
Rivaroxaban is used to treat or prevent blood clots (venous thromboembolism, or VTE). Blood clots can occur in the legs (deep vein thrombosis, DVT) or the lungs (pulmonary embolism, PE).
Dabigatran
Dabigatran is used to lower the risk of stroke caused by a blood clot in people with a heart rhythm disorder called atrial fibrillation. dabigatran is used when the atrial fibrillation is not caused by a heart valve problem.
Apixaban
Apixaban is used to lower the risk of stroke caused by a blood clot in people with a heart rhythm disorder called atrial fibrillation.
Edoxaban
Edoxaban is used to lower the risk of stroke caused by a blood clot in people with a heart rhythm disorder called atrial fibrillation, edoxaban is used when the atrial fibrillation is not caused by a heart valve problem
Heparin
Heparin is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) that prevents the formation of blood clots. Heparin is used to treat and prevent blood clots caused by certain medical conditions or medical procedures. It is also used before surgery to reduce the risk of blood clots.
